accept a helping hand

We would like to begin by emphasizing that The Society remains committed to providing essential support, including food and shelter, to individuals in need, including those who may find themselves homeless and hungry through no fault of their own. However, our mission extends beyond mere survival. It is imperative that we strive to create a life worth living for those we assist. Through our partnerships with charitable organizations, we have witnessed firsthand how our contributions impact the lives of those we encounter. While sustenance is crucial, preserving the dignity of recipients as they accept a helping hand is equally essential.

We are pleased to announce the addition of two new board members to The Society, Stephen Lindsay, and Robin Saltzman.  Stephen Lindsay has assumed the position of Secretary.  Additionally, we are fortunate to have attorney Stephen Zaloom, a trusted advisor and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy, who, despite his ongoing professional responsibilities and commitments to other boards, continues to provide valuable guidance.  We are also in the process of developing a new website that will serve as a platform to commemorate our past achievements and announce upcoming activities. In terms of our financial standing, Treasurer Roland Manuel has reported that The Society remains financially stable and has given the green light to proceed with membership renewal letters.

We are grateful for the unwavering support of Sally and Dick Robinson in our efforts to restructure and enhance The Society.  As you may know, Dick Robinson, our Vice President since inception and a trusted advisor, is the owner of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting and Legends 100.3 FM.  He has generously pledged limitless airtime to ensure that our organization and its endeavors reach his national and international listenership.  Their dedication ensures that The Society gains greater recognition, becoming an organization of which we can all take immense pride in being a part. Unfortunately, Dick has resigned this year due to health issues but we thank him for all that he has done for The Society.

The “Benefactor” category provides additional benefits such as a premium space listing on our letterhead, the option to feature your biography and photo on our webpage (if desired), and prominent recognition in all printed media, including our Gala programs.

Please note that your contribution is fully tax deductible.

While we appreciate any level of generosity, we encourage you to consider a donation beyond the minimum requirement.  We are pleased to share that since January, we have already disbursed Grants totaling over $128,000.  Additionally, even before commencing our formal fundraising efforts, we have pledged an additional $50,000 in Grants to support various charities.  This commitment has been made possible thanks to the invaluable support of our Great Grand Benefactors.  The urgent needs of the less fortunate continue to grow exponentially, and we express our deepest gratitude to those who have made it possible for us to honor this pledge.

To recognize the efforts of members who bring in at least one new member, the Board has decided to host a complimentary appreciation dinner party in November.  This event will serve as an opportunity to celebrate and welcome the new season while acknowledging the valuable contributions of our members.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and myself, we extend our heartfelt appreciation for your past support, both in terms of financial contributions and emotional commitment.  We eagerly anticipate receiving your 2023-2024 membership renewal, and we encourage you to contribute an amount that resonates with your generosity.  Every contribution, regardless of size, helps The Society fulfill its commitments.

Once again, we extend our deepest gratitude for your ongoing support and look forward to your continued involvement with The International Society of Palm Beach.
